Digital Photo Kiosks
The quick development of the technologies and the appearance of the mobile phones with integrated digital photographic cameras with capacity of over 1 MPix, undoubtedly open up chances for new business – a digital printing of the images, save, processing … at that very moment … using the “make it yourself†system.
In reply of the always increasing demand of digital services – printing of pictures made by digital photographic cameras and mobile phones (that include a digital camera), at the last exhibition Photokina 2004 – the biggest of its kind in the photographic branch of worldwide importance – “Odessos Colour†Ltd. presented two own products, and namely OK 1 Kiosk and OK 2 Order Station – station for accepting and procession of images orders.
Their purpose is self-service of the final client.
* Main functions: Copying/transferring of images through a special panel with slots for all kinds of memory cards – CF, MS, MS Duo, SM, XD, SD, Mini SD, MMC etc.
* Transferring of image from mobile phones through Bluetooth and IrDa
* Recording and printing from and to CD / DVD
* The easy-to-work-with menu and the 15 “/17 “ sensor /touch/ monitor allow the final client to operate easily all the processes of procession from the choice of the picture format to optimization of the image.
The opportunities for editing include functions like correction of red eyes, decrease/increase of the image, regulation of color, choice between color, sepia and black-white option, adding text, making calendars, visit cards, putting in frame and many more.
Digital miniphotolaboratories are used from almost 3 years in the photographic studios in the country, containing the same functions, with the exception of IRDa and Bluetooth, but they require big premises, qualified personnel, storage ...
Through the “Make it yourself†system new additional staff is not needed, and payment can be performed in cash with coins and banknotes, by credit card, as well as to a cashier who works in the shop.
* The products can be produced at design provided by the client, can have his logo or the color chosen by him etc.
